Canon EOS IX Lite / EOS IX 7 / EOS IX 50 is an IX240 SLR camera that is recommended over the EOS IXE, but...

I have posted several articles about APS IX240 camera, mainly Canon EOS IX, in the last few issues.

Then I suddenly remembered the existence of the Canon EOS IX 50 (EOS IX Lite / EOS IX 7).

Canon EOS IX 50, I actually bought it at about the same time as the EOS IX (around October 2018).
But I didn't have a chance to use it.

Well, I thought it would be a good opportunity to use up the last APS film I have on hand.

Canon EOS IX 50 is an Advanced Photo System camera like Canon EOS IX.
I think its rank is lower than Canon EOS IX and about the same as EOS Kiss.

The design is said to be based on the best-selling New EOS Kiss.
The print size can be changed by a lever.
As the print size is changed, the appearance of the focusing screen will also change.

I thought it was a nice camera.

For the lens, I used the EF40mm f/2.8 STM.
Since I was shooting in H size, that was hard to get used to.
But the feeling when shooting was very close to when I was using the EOS Kiss series.
The camera itself was light in weight and the grip was easy to hold.
The ease of handling of the EOS IX 50 surpassed that of the EOS IX.

If you don't mind the 1/4000 second shutter speed and Eye Controlled Focus, I would recommend the EOS IX50 over the EOS IX.

But sadly, the Advanced Photo System is a photographic system that has virtually come to an end.
The question is whether we can get an APS film in good condition in the future. :}
