Anxiety about updating the TAMRON 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) has been resolved.
One of the concerns when using a third-party lens is whether the lens can be used with newer models of cameras.
In my case, when deciding to buy the Canon EOS M5, I was worried whether the TAMRON 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) would work properly.
In conclusion, updating the lens solved the problem.
However, the TAMRON 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) for EF-M mount cannot be updated via the camera, and the item TAP-in Console that can update the lens firmware cannot be used.
So I had to ask TAMRON to update the lens.
It took some time because verification is required every time a new model camera is released, but TAMRON's support always gives a good impression.
Then, I was able to use a combination of Canon EOS M5 and TAMRON 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011).
By the way, when this article was posted, it was just after the Canon EOS Kiss M2 was released.
I asked TAMRON.
"Can we use with the combination of Canon EOS Kiss M2 and TAMRON 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011)?"
TAMRON answered "Now verifying".
I think that "Now verifying" means that it will support when something happens.
I don't think need to worry :)
